Parking
There are two 30-minute loading zone spaces right outside the shop if you are dropping off donations. In addition to street parking, you can find free parking nearby at 23 9th Street and 1219 Main Street while you’re shopping.

The Store
The Scrappy Elephant retail store is filled with reclaimed and reusable materials donated from businesses and individuals in and around the Charlottesville area. Whether you're a teacher, an artist, a crafter, a student, or a parent, you'll find supplies you need and supplies you never knew you needed.

Specialty items donated by local businesses and manufacturers

Wood, metal, and plastic in a variety of shapes and sizes
Our inventory changes constantly so you never know what you’re going to find! The hunt is part of the fun.
You’ll not only find unique items at affordable prices, but you can rest assured that by purchasing reuse materials rather than new (virgin) materials, you are doing Mother Earth a favor.
We also stock the store with a small selection of new drawing and painting materials from sustainable brands we love!
