Junk Journals are easy to make and, by definition, they use materials you already have. We’ll explore the concept and use materials provided by the instructor to create a simple sewn-signature journal. The challenge of these journals lies in letting go of preconceived notions of what defines a “book” or “page.”  We will make a simple, 3-signature journal  using a manila folder for the flexible cover. Binding will be a 3-hole pamphlet stitch using baker’s twine or waxed linen and the closure will be a super-simple elastic belly band.
