You can always tell what season it is based on the amount of yarn we have in the shop. As warm weather and springtime are upon us, the Scrappy Elephant begins filling up with so much lovely yarn. Now is the best time to restock your stash. Just as squirrels store their nuts for winter, you can store away some yarn for when the cold returns!
We had the sweetest sewist in the shop on Friday telling us about the dresses she sews that get sent abroad to children in need. She told us it is what she does while she watches TV. She can never sit around and just watch TV, she has to keep her hands busy. I totally understand this, and I have a feeling that many of you reading this are the same way! If you aren’t quite at her level (of dressmaking and TV watching), but need something easy to keep your hands busy, diamond art kits are just the thing. And we have quite a few here for you today!
We have so many lovely things here today thanks to the incredible makers of Central Va who choose to donate their unwanted supplies instead of throw them away. We’re open from 11-6 for bag filling or learning something new.
