First of all, I just had to show off the adorable studio creation that was made yesterday- Corky the Beaver! How cute is he?! While he was made by the most adorable young child, I think his grandmother might have had just as much fun in the studio helping him put it together. The studio isn’t just for kids. It’s a great place to release your inner child and have some good, cheap, creative fun with friends!
The other day, Christy, who is one of our new incredible volunteer fabric rollers (aka, the reason there is new fabric out almost every time you come here), showed me her finished paint-by-number that she got from here. It was beautiful! She said it was one of the most relaxing things she had done in a long time. If you’ve never painted before (or even if you have), these little kits can be hours of cortisol reducing, stress relieving fun. Speaking of fun, we have so much fun and funky yarn, an insane amount of purple striped jersey knit fabric, some super cute fabric samples, nice canvases, a ridiculous number of labels in all shapes and sizes, and oh so much more, including a super fun kit if you want to have a planter painting party! We are open from 9-6 today and would love for you to stop in for our Still Life Drawing and Watercolor session if you have time around noon. Bring your own supplies or use ours!
